Another family shoot in Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa!

After my last shoot in Jephson Gardens, I had lots of enquiries from lovely families who loved the shots we got that day. This particular family got in touch to get some lovely snaps of the four of them and we decided to shoot in the same location – Jephson Gardens! You may think this would make it less scary, but in fact it’s quite a challenge – because I don’t want the shots to be samey. There were some spots and shots that were just great last time and I wanted to use them again because they just work so well, but then I also wanted to make sure that this family’s shots were still unique. I like to think that every time I shoot, I bring something different, because ultimately the photos are a reflection of the people in them. It tells a little story of the life they have together and the love they share. Yes, it sounds cheesy, but I don’t care, it’s true. It’s why I love being behind that camera and it’s why I love the part where they get to see their photos for the firs time and it’s why I get palpitations waiting to hear what they think of their images – because they really do mean a lot to me. I’m making a permanent record of the people I’m photographing. They will be kept by families and children and passed on to their children. One day they might be found by great-great grandchildren and I want those great-great grandchildren to think they are beautiful and for them to really get a sense of what the people in the pictures were like.

Anyway, I’m babbling. I just get a bit over excited when people love their photos. And this is what this gorgeous lady said when she saw these:

“Oh my word Cassie we absolutely LOVE them!! Honestly exceeded all my expectations! I didn’t even know you had taken half of them! You are so talented.. It was so relaxed and I honestly just felt we were having a play with our kids in the park.. I am so happy with it 100%.”

And that, folks, is literally the best thing I can hear and the reason I love my job so very much.
